Steps to Join our Teams:
1. Submit your interest form
Shares your contact information to us and place you best on your needs for the season.
2. Attend a Clinic / Open Gym for Evaluation
This will let us evaluate your athlete on the court. As well as have a face to face with one of our directors to discuss goals for the upcoming season for the player and family.
3. Complete your team agreement and deposit
We’ll send an email with your team offer and plan of action for your proposed team. Once signed and deposit minimum is met your placement for the season is secured.

2026-2027 Club Season

Teams
Teams are generally composed of 10-12 athletes grouped into similar age divisions and travel preferences. Depending on ability, athletes may be selected to play in older age divisions.
Teams will attempt to accommodate the majority of athletes but will allow additional movement from players to ensure everyone is on the best team for their needs.
The Season
Practices
Practices will start the first week of November. Our teams practice once/twice a week. Most practices will be 2 hours in duration. Practice times could be anytime between 9am-9pm on Saturdays and from 6pm-10:00pm Mondays through Thursdays. Teams will practice either on weeknights at Order on the Court or SA Magic Volleyball’s gym on Saturdays throughout the season.
Competitions
Teams mostly play in 2-day tournaments which could start in late December and end in May. (July if attending a National Championship). Southwest Boys Tour teams will have a very extensive travel schedule with multiple in state and out of state tournaments, which may include Arizona, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. South Texas teams will focus on tournaments closest to the San Antonio / Austin / Houston areas. While our Hometown teams will only compete in local San Antonio tournaments and scrimmages.
Travel to and from tournaments, including any food and lodging is the responsibility of the athlete’s family. The club does NOT provide transportation; however we do have families that combine resources and help each other coordinate travel if ever necessary.
Tournament schedules are usually developed after the teams are formed as most tournaments do not announce their dates until November. Exact playing schedules (of each tournament) are posted online usually by the Wednesday before.
End of Season
Southwest Boys Tour teams will have the option to play until July ending their season at the USA Volleyball Boys Jr National Championships and/or AAU Boys National Championships. See tournament schedule for length of season for each team. Choosing to attend these tournaments will be decided by the director, coaches, teams’ attendance and performance at early season tournaments, along with the parents of all the players. Extending the season will include an additional cost package to cover additional tournament fees, coach travel and stay, and practice court time.
